Hidden Patterns is based on curiosity for hidden structure, colour and patterns. Zooming in and out on a product or material, can bring us surprising images and knowledge.There is more to it than meets the eye. What if, instead of searching for inspiration in our observable environment, we could get inspiration from MINI’s hidden patterns. By MINI’s hidden patterns I mean; what if the material the MINI is build with could tell us more about its true colours look and feel.

It’s a research based project that will in the end show the MINI skin in a mini scale level. It’s an abstract look into the colour and trim handwriting. The outcome, a book, a guide to let the hidden patterns from MINI inspire to create new finishes, grids and surface interaction and colour patterns.
